Pipes & Herlong Among Presenters At January 2014 National Eminent Domain Seminar

Casey Pipes Provides Update On Regulatory Takings At ABA Meeting In New Orleans

Casey Pipes is the current chairman of the Condemnation Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law. The committee had its Fall Leadership Meeting in New Orleans on November 8-9, 2013. Mr. Pipes attended and gave an update on regulatory takings during the Real Property division’s Hot Topics program.

Warren Herlong To Speak On Eminent Domain At Meeting of International Right Of Way Association

Warren Herlong Invited To Speak at American Law Institute Meeting in Miami, Florida

Mr. Herlong is slated to give two presentations at the ALI meeting taking place on January 24 and 25, 2012.  The first is titled, “How to Develop and Implement a Business Plan for an Eminent Domain Practice,” and will be part of the ALI’s course on Eminent Domain and Land Valuation Litigation.  Mr. Herlong’s second presentation will focus on the direct examination of valuation witnesses in eminent domain cases and will be given during a course titled “Condemnation 101: How to Prepare and Present an Eminent Domain Case.”

Warren Herlong To Give Presentation To Alabama Probate Judges on Eminent Domain Law

Mr. Herlong has been invited by the Joint Education Committee of the Alabama Probate Judges Association and the Alabama Law Institute  to speak on eminent domain law at the Association’s meeting on January 31, 2013 at the Grand Hotel in Point Clear, Alabama.  The presentation is titled, “Overview of Alabama Eminent Domain Law, What Every Alabama Probate Judge Should Know”.

Patrick Finnegan Serves On Faculty Of Contract Law Seminar Sponsored By The National Business Institute

Mr. Finnegan gave three separate presentations at the day-long seminar held in Mobile on July 30, 2012.  His first presentation dealt with contract negotiation, focusing in particular on steps lawyers can take to provide clients with maximum legal protection during and after the negotiation process.  In his second presentation, Mr. Finnegan discussed the key laws, rules, legal doctrines and practices that a litigator should master to insure the best outcomes in breach of contract disputes.  Mr. Finnegan’s final presentation concerned rules of professional conduct that are of particular importance to lawyers engaged in transactional practice.
