John T. Dukes
Member of the Firm
John Dukes is an experienced corporate transactional and real estate attorney specializing in the acquisition and selling of businesses, real estate transactions, leases and related real property matters, representation of lenders and borrowers in connection with commercial loans and related matters, the formation and organization of limited liability companies and corporations, and corporate guidance including employment related matters, corporate compliance, insurance, commercial contracts and business disputes.
John is active in the Mobile community through a variety of civic and charitable organizations. He is a member and former president of the Rotary Club of Mobile and has served on the Board of Trustees of the Rotary Children’s Foundation, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (Alabama-Mississippi Chapter), and the Downtown Mobile Alliance.

John’s practice comprises a wide array of corporate and business transactions. His expertise includes business acquisitions/sales, real estate development, zoning and leasing, commercial litigation, legal opinions/loan enforceability, and employment matters such as employment agreements and non-competition agreements. He is a recognized leader in commercial shopping center work including acquisition, development, use restrictions and leasing, as well as automotive dealership acquisitions and sales.

- Represented specialty pharmacy being investigated by Mississippi Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. No action taken against client.
- In mediation with the government before the qui tam complaint was unsealed, reached favorable settlement of False Claim Act lawsuit against physician practice that included claims under the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, for alleged breach of numerous Medicare and Tricare regulations and retaliation.
