| J. Casey PipesCasey Pipes was born in Mobile, Alabama in 1971. He grew up in Mobile and attended Washington & Lee University where he received his undergraduate degree in 1993. He attended law school at the University of Alabama where he received his juris doctorate in 1996. While in law school, Mr. Pipes was a member of The Journal of the Legal Profession on which he served as Lead Articles Editor his final year. He graduated cum laude from law school.
Mr. Pipes joined the Firm as an associate in 1996 and became a partner in 2002. He has extensive experience in the fields of municipal and governmental law through his representation of the City of Foley, Alabama and its utilities board, Riviera Utilities. In addition, he has concentrated in eminent domain work while still performing a wide range of general civil litigation for non-governmental clients. He is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars on issues relating to municipal law and eminent domain, and he has authored and co-authored various articles in the field of eminent domain.
Mr. Pipes is a member of the American Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, the Mobile and Baldwin County Bar Associations, the Alabama Association of Municipal Attorneys and the International Right of Way Association. Mr. Pipes is admitted to practice law in all state courts in the state of Alabama, in the U. S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Alabama, and in the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. |
