| Charles R. Mixon, Jr.Charlie Mixon, Jr. has practiced law in Mobile since 1978, including five years as General Counsel to a multi-unit restaurant franchisee.
Mr. Mixon received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Alabama in 1975 and his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1978. While in law school, he was a Hugo L. Black Scholar, a recipient of the N. Leigh Harrison Award, a member of the Managing Board of the Alabama Law Review, and a member of the Order of the Coif.
Mr. Mixon's practice is focused on the areas of real estate, commercial transactions and business law. His real estate practice regularly includes the negotiation of commercial leases and the representation of purchasers, sellers and lenders in the acquisition, disposition and financing of real property, including office buildings, shopping centers, undeveloped land and other commercial properties.
He also advises business clients on a variety of issues, including formation, dissolution, mergers and acquisitions and equipment leases and other commercial contracts.
Mr. Mixon is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Mobile Bar Association and the Sections of Business Law, Real Property, Trust and Estate Law, and the Forum Committee on Franchising of the American Bar Association. He also served as President of the Young Lawyers Section of the Alabama State Bar and as a member of the Executive Council of the Young Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association. |
