| John N. Leach, Jr.John N. Leach, Jr. was born and reared in Gadsden, Alabama. He attended Vanderbilt University where he received his undergraduate degree with honors, and he attended law school at the University of Virginia. Upon graduation and admission to the Alabama bar, he served for two years as a law clerk for Judge Virgil Pittman of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama. Mr. Leach has been in the private practice of law in Mobile since completion of his clerkship with Judge Pittman.
Mr. Leach is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers which he currently serves as the Alabama State Chair, as well as a member of the American Judicature Society, the Maritime Law Association of the United States, the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute, and the Defense Research Institute. He is a member of the American, Alabama and Mobile Bar Associations, and he is a Fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation. He has been a frequent speaker at Continuing Legal Education seminars. Mr. Leach has been included in many editions and in multiple categories of Best Lawyers in America, and he was named by Super Lawyers as one of the top fifty lawyers in Alabama. Mr. Leach currently serves as the President of the Mobile Bar Association for 2009.
Mr. Leach has been admitted to practice before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama, and all courts of the State of Alabama, including the Alabama Supreme Court. |
